Trim and cut felled trees
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course covers the required skills and knowledge to operate and maintain chainsaws and pole saws. It includes the maintenance and servicing requirements of chainsaw powerheads and attachments, chain sharpening, trimming and cutting felled trees.
This course is delivered face to face. The theory component is delivered in the classroom and the practical is delivered off-site, out in the field. The three units have been clustered together so attendance at all three days is required to successfully complete the course.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Be over 17 years of age,
- Have some experience in operating a chainsaw,
- Be fit enough to carry a chainsaw/pole saw and stand for long periods of time.
