Use of Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) to Maintain the Safety of Navigation
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This five day generic course has been designed for candidates for certification as officers in charge of a navigational watch on an Electronic Chart Display Information System (ECDIS) compliant vessel and for experienced nautical officers and other persons with navigational responsibilities on an ECDIS compliant vessel.
Based on the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) 1.27 model course fulfilling the 40-hour generic course requirement as per the Manila July 2011 amendments to Standard of Training and Certification of Watchkeepers (STCW95).
