Work safely at heights
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Training relevant staff to work safely at heights is a key component of safe systems of work. Working at heights means working where there is a risk of falling from one level to another. It is a high-risk activity and a leading cause for death and serious injury.
Therefore, competency is essential for personnel who may be required to work on top of tanks or structures, scaffolding, elevated work platforms, near an edge or opening they could fall from or off a ladder (for example).
