Work Safely near Electricity
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course is for existing non-electrical workers who are required to undertake non-electrical work safely near live electrical apparatus. These competencies will not allow any electrical work to be conducted by non-electrical personnel, however it will educate them on the risks and dangers.
Completing the course will provide an individual with the skills and knowledge to stay safe and understand compliance requirements for safe approach distances for the worker, plant, tools and equipment and consists of real-life practical skills and knowledge to allow the participant to be able to identify and mitigate hazards in their working environment.
Due to the high-risk nature of the industry, the program is regarded as a mandatory requirement for specific industries in which employees are required develop or maintain their professional skills.
