Worksite Traffic Management (WTM)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This four (4) day course provides participants with the theory and practical skills required to monitor the effectiveness of traffic guidance schemes including adding and/or removing signs and devices within the scope and objectives of the Traffic Management Plan. This course covers conducting risk assessment, anaylsing project and road/traffic data, amending traffic guidance schemes, working with a range of stakeholders and quality review processes. The course is delivered face to face and training includes classroom activities, theory questionnaires, group activities, auditing worksites using a range of locations and scenarios. Assessments include theory questionnaires and practical assessments. This course and level of Main Roads WA accreditation is suited to Traffic Controllers, Team Crew Leaders, Site Supervisors or Project Managers.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Hold a current Main Roads WA Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) accreditation
Current or previous valid and recognised driver’s licence by Department of Transport WA (We accept those who are currently on provisional licences, however, we are unable to accept learners permits)
Details of a minimum of three (3) worksites with a supervisor’s contact details that can be verified. Details required to provide will include date of work, site location and suburb, description of works, contractor, and supervisor name and contact details
Have evidence of being issued with a valid Worksafe WA Construction Safety Awareness Training Card (blue card) or Construction Induction Training Card (White Card)
Have documentary evidence of at least 1 year practical experience in traffic management OR; have documentary evidence of at least 2 year’s practical experience in road construction/maintenance
A completed and signed SWMS used on a worksite by the applicant
Minimum one (1) signed daily diary of a worksite you have implemented
Complete a Pre-enrolment form to demonstrate meeting the above listed requirements
