Community Engagement Officer

A Community Engagement Officer encourages public participation and awareness of an organisation’s services. You might organise community events or programs for the public and ensure the organisation has a visual presence at relevant activities. Community Engagement Officers might communicate with various stakeholders and provide information when required.

Community Engagement Officers should have excellent personal skills and be good at listening. You’ll need to be organised and have strong leadership skills. It’s important that you can work as part of a team and communicate with people from a range of backgrounds. Community Engagement Officers may be required to attend activities and events outside of regular office hours.
