Doula

A Doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support to individuals during pregnancy, childbirth, and the early postpartum period. You might work in homes, hospitals, or birthing centres. Doulas focus on helping clients navigate their birthing experience, offering comfort, guidance, and advocacy. You’ll assist with labour techniques, provide educational resources, and support families in making informed decisions about their birth plan.

Doulas play a vital role in creating positive birthing experiences. You’ll need to be compassionate, patient, and a good communicator, able to support clients through various stages of childbirth. You’ll liaise with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure a supportive and empowering environment for the birth experience.
