Emergency Services Officer (ESO)

An Emergency Services Officer (ESO) responds to emergency situations on a work site. You’ll ensure everyone on site is safe and accounted for and arrange medical treatment for any casualties. Emergency Services Officers assess an emergency scene and make critical decisions on site safety. Part of your role will be to prepare for potential emergencies with staff training and emergency response plans.

Emergency Services Officers need strong leadership skills and should be able to make decisions quickly. It’s important that you can remain calm in a stressful situation and respond well to pressure. You’ll need to communicate well in challenging conditions and follow correct procedures.
