Function Coordinator

A Function Coordinator organises events at a function venue or events centre. You’ll liaise with clients to arrange details of a function and make arrangements such as catering, audio-visual equipment and staffing. Function Coordinators manage budgets, organise entertainment and make sure the venue is prepared for guests. You’ll deal with any issues that arise and ensure guests have everything they need.

Function Coordinators need to be highly organised and able to lead a team of staff. It’s important that you can communicate well and liaise with a range of stakeholders. Function Coordinators should have good time management skills and excellent problem solving abilities. You’ll need to be able to manage a budget and handle various administrative tasks.
