Landscaper

A Landscaper develops outdoor areas with plants and trees as well as non-living features such as paths and structures. You might create a design for an area and select products such as plants, seating or aesthetic pieces such as sculptures or water features. Landscapers get a site ready for work by levelling land and preparing soil. You might plant trees and shrubs and install pathways, retaining walls, drainage systems and garden furniture.

Landscapers should be creative and enjoy working outdoors. You’ll need to be willing to work in a range of weather conditions and be able to cope with the physical demands of the job. Landscapers may work on their own but are usually part of a larger team. You’ll need to be able to communicate well with clients and understand their requests.
