Certificate III in Business
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Our BSB30120 Certificate III in Business qualification is designed to prepare individuals for varied roles across different industries and environments while exercising professional judgement. Throughout the program, students should develop a broad range of competencies and learn to apply them with discretion and relevant theoretical knowledge.
Upon successfully completing this nationally recognised qualification, students should be able to:
- perform day-to-day business activities and essential business activities across a range of industries
- use enhanced workplace communication and customer service skills
- identify safe work practices and how to work safely in a business environment.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
The following will be required for the enrolment process:
- Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- verifiable identification documents
- completion of the LLN assessment.
Students will require access to appropriate technology and internet if the materials are delivered online.

- QLD Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the QLD Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
This program is subsidised by the Queensland government, under the Career Start General Training Pathway Program. The following Student Co-Contribution fees apply, varying based on student eligibility status:
- Concession: $19.50 per qualification or $1.50 per Unit of Competency
- Non-concession: $39.00 per qualification or $3.00 per Unit of Competency
- Non-Subsidised Online or self-study option: $4,200
- Non-Subsidised Price (Full Fee): $6,000
To be eligible for funding, students must be:
- A permanent Queensland resident
- Aged 15 or older and not currently attending school
- An Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent residents (including humanitarian entrants), or temporary resident with the right visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency
- Not currently be enrolled in a Qualification, even if it is on hold or deferred, whether funded by DTET
- Not already have a certificate III or higher qualification completed within the last 10 years for a general training pathway (qualifications completed as a school student and foundation skills qualifications do not count);
- Not exceed a maximum of two government-funded apprenticeships/traineeships within a 10-yearperiod.
