Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of heavy commercial vehicles in the automotive service and repair sector.
The qualification has been specifically developed to meet the needs of the heavy vehicle automotive industry.
As part of their training, the apprentice is required to perform a range of work including overhaul, service and repair the mechanical parts of road transport vehicles such as the engine, transmission (clutch, gear box and differential) and the suspension systems (springs, steering, brakes, wheels and tyres).
