Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling (CPC31320) provides a trade outcome in wall and floor tiling for residential and commercial construction work.
The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as the specialist field of work, wall and floor tiling. Tilers work with materials like ceramic, glass, slate, marble and clay. They cut these materials and lay tiles on floors and walls, both interior and exterior. They may also add decorative touches to their basic work.
This course is delivered on the job, allowing participants to learn, validate, and improve their skills and knowledge within their trade.
This qualification is suitable for those who are currently undertaking wall and floor tiling tasks in the building and construction industry and are looking to become qualified to advance their career, and in preparation for the introduction of new Victorian Building Authority trades registration requirements which have been approved by the Victorian Government.
This qualification is delivered on the job for 13 months
There are no prerequisite qualification requirements, however applicants must be employed and undertaking tiling work in the building and construction industry.
You should also hold the unit CPCWHS1001 – Work Safely in the construction industry (White Card) before commencing this program, or within four weeks of commencing. NCT can refer you to quality providers that deliver this unit.
