Certificate IV in Building & Construction
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification is designed to meet the needs of builders and managers of small to medium-sized building businesses. The builder may also be the appropriately licensed person with responsibility under the relevant building licensing authority in the State or Territory. Builder licensing varies across States and Territories and additional requirements to attainment of this qualification may be required.
In this course, learners will learn how to plan building construction work, apply structural principles and supervise on-site construction including how to apply building codes and meet standards and legal requirements to maintain industry quality.
Learners will also gain business skills such as how to manage contracts and small business finances. Successful completion of this qualification will allow you to apply for a Builder – Low Rise license and set you up to successfully manage a residential building business.
