This leadership and management course is geared toward individuals who are in the early stages of their leadership and management journey. It aims to equip you with the skills needed to effectively lead and manage teams, take responsibility for your own performance, solve problems, and analyse information.
The course strikes a balance between addressing both predictable and unpredictable challenges that arise in a leadership role and is intended for those working as emerging leaders and managers.
On completion of this course, you'll be taking responsibility for your own performance and accountability for achieving your own goals and tasks. You are also likely to provide leadership, guidance, and support to others. This means you'll be involved in leading and mentoring team members and helping them to succeed and perform effectively.
You'll be expected to apply solutions to identified problems. You'll hone your problem solving skills which will enable you to adapt your approach to different situations.
This course will improve your skills to analyse and evaluate information from various sources. You'll be able to gather information, make sense of it, and use it to inform your decisions.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
You will need relevant prior training, and be employed as a trainee within a business.
You will also need to meet some selection criteria including:
- ideally, have some level of experience coordinating others (not mandatory)
- be 18 years or older
- be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident, or humanitarian VISA holder
- have a level of Language Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) required as determined in the ASCF for the course
TRAINEESHIP ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: To apply for this course, you must also be registered with an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network Provider and have a training contract with an employer.
