Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) This qualification reflects the role of workers who provide services to clients in community. This qualification addresses work in roles that usually involve service delivery, either direct client work and/or community education or development projects. Workers at this level operate at an advanced skill level and may also have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers. They make also undertake case management and program coordination.

Work Placement

100 hours of practical placement.

This qualification will be delivered using a combination of classroom-based delivery and other student participation methods. This will include classroom theory delivery, supervised assessment assistance, supervised learning, unsupervised directed learning, skills training, placement to build on participant’s knowledge and skills on-the-job.
