Are you a carer or nurse looking to improve your skills in safely conducting manual tasks? Look no further! Our Nationally Recognised Training Unit of Competency covers everything you need to know to recognise potentially hazardous manual tasks and complete them safely. This unit is applicable to all workers who may be involved in manual handling tasks and is specifically contextualised to the Aged Care/Allied Health setting.

During our manual handling course, you’ll receive comprehensive theory on legislation and safe work practices related to the mobilisation of clients and objects in your role. You’ll also have the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice with hands-on demonstrations, guided by our experienced trainers and assessors. Our course has a strong emphasis on practical skills, including the safe use of slide sheets and hoists for transferring patients. By the end of this course, you’ll have the confidence and knowledge to conduct manual tasks safely and effectively.
