Diploma of Emergency Health Care

You can pursue the HLT51020 Diploma of Emergency Health Care through our flexible online courses to develop much needed, critical industry skills. Our program includes a dynamic clinical workshop and opportunities for hands-on clinical experience.
Whether you are looking to upgrade your skills or just starting your journey into Emergency health care, we’ve got you. You will learn clinical skills, theoretical knowledge, clinical assessment tools and pre-hospital and out-of-hospital interventions for patients in an emergency, including providing advanced skills in lifesupport. This qualification applies to various roles within the health care and patient transport system around Australia
Clinical Workshops
You will complete one 5-day clinical workshop and 160 hours of clinical placement throughout your Diploma.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Be at least 16 years of age (parental consent required if under 18)
- Meet the language literacy and numeracy requirements (LLN)
- Be an AUS/NZ citizen, AUS PR, or hold an approved temporary visa
- Driver’s license is required if opting to complete:
- HLTOUT007 Transport non-emergency patients under operational conditions or
- HLTOUT006 Transport emergency patients. - Have consistent access to a computer and internet to study and complete online assessments
