Follow Basic Food Safety Practices
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The course applies to individuals who work as a Food Handler Level 1 Food Safety Course, particularly for the health and community sectors. This course is designed for workers that prepare, provide and serve food to vulnerable people such as the elderly, children and babies, pregnant women, people with medication conditions, immune deficiencies and/or allergies primarily.
This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene matters to prevent contamination of food that could result in a food-borne illness with specific modules on the childcare and aged care sectors. You will also learn about your obligations when working in a food safety role in accordance with legislation, regulations and workplace policies and procedures.
