Subjects covered during this course will include makeup techniques including application of foundation, concealer, camouflage. Contouring, shading and highlighting. Lip and eye techniques (include smokey eye, glamour eye, socket eye etc.) and colour therapy.

Occasion based make ups including bridal make-up, special occasion make-up, fashion print media make-up, photographic make-up and day, evening make-up.

Start working in the exciting field of makeup artistry. This diploma is designed for students who wish to work as a Makeup artist or a Special FX artist/designer. Graduates of this Diploma will become highly qualified make up specialists in their field, using use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out work in the area of specialist make-up services for the film, television and entertainment industries and may coordinate the operation of a make-up department or business or operate on a freelance basis. Graduates of this program will have the knowledge and expertise to critically analyse a situation, at both the managerial and client service level and to make the high-level decisions when required to improve the beauty therapy work place. The course teaches you broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services including body massage, facial treatments, waxing, lash & brow treatments, makeup and nail services and much more. This course is designed for those wishing to develop the skills and knowledge to establish priorities with clients, synthesise knowledge of anatomy and physiology, skin science, cosmetic chemistry and nutrition, and to design and provide facial routines and advice on products and protection of facial skin. The course covers knowledge and techniques preparing the client and work area for service, identifying contra-indications, identify the different skin types, skin conditions and skin diseases, disorders, performing standard facial treatments (include: pre-cleanse, skin analysis, exfoliation, extraction, facial massage, mask therapy and tone & moisturising) and providing aftercare and home care advice.

This course is designed for those wishing to develop the skills and knowledge to apply facial make-up products for day, evening or special occasions. It requires the ability to consult with clients, analyse face and skin, and to demonstrate and apply make-up products to suit client needs or make-up brief. On success completion of the course you will be able prepare client and work area for service, include Identifying contra-indications, design/choose appropriate colour and products for different skin types and face shapes, identify the different products and demonstrate understanding of colour therapy, perform make-up treatments (include: day make-up, evening make-up, bridal/glamour make-up and special occasion make-up) and provide aftercare and home care advice.

This course is designed for those wishing to develop the skills and knowledge to apply extensions to eyelashes. It requires the ability to consult with clients, select suitable products and equipment to apply, in-fill, and remove damaged eyelash extensions. Applying eyelash extensions can be an individual service or form part of a series of services. This unit applies to beauty therapists, retail assistants, and make-up freelancers who work in beauty salons, retail cosmetic outlets, and setting that provide make-up services. In this environment they make routine decisions within a defined range. On success completion of the course, you will be able establish service requirements, remove damaged, sparse, or grown out eyelash extensions, apply eyelash extensions, provide post service advice and clean treatment work area.
