PDHPE Teacher

A PDHPE (Personal Development, Health and Physical Education) Teacher educates secondary school students in health, physical activity, and personal development. You might work in a public or independent school, teaching topics such as physical fitness, mental health, nutrition, and respectful relationships. You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons, organise practical sports activities, and assess students’ progress in both theory and physical performance.

PDHPE Teachers play a key role in promoting student wellbeing. You’ll need to be active, approachable, and confident in leading physical activities. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll work closely with students, families, and other staff to support each student’s learning, health, and personal growth.
