This qualification is designed to suit workplace-based trainees who are employed in a kitchen operations role within a hospitality business. It is a comprehensive course designed to give participants entering the hospitality industry the necessary skills to perform the job role of a kitchen hand or assistant.

The qualification provides a pathway to work in many hospitality industry sectors, including apprentice chef, and is suitable for a diverse range of employers including restaurants, food service businesses and hotel and accommodation organisations.
