Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)SITXFSA001 – Use hygienic practices for food safety and complies with the legislative requirements for food safety and hygiene practices as outlined in the Australian Food Standards Code. This course is a legal requirement for all staff who work in the food industry within a range of businesses including hotels, cafés and restaurants, retail food outlets, temporary food events, aged care facilities, hospitals and community care services. You will have the ability to follow workplace hygiene procedures, predetermined procedures, identify and control simple hazards and take particular hygiene measures to ensure the non-contamination of food and other items that might risk the health and safety of customers, colleagues and yourself.
