Claims Specialist

A Claims Specialist works for an insurance company to process policy claims. You might specialise in a particular type of insurance or process a range of insurance claims. Claims Specialists liaise with clients to gather relevant details and may speak to other stakeholders when necessary. You might examine claim details and process necessary paperwork.

Claims Specialists must have strong customer services skills and excellent analytical abilities. You’ll need to be a good communicator and be able to understand the individual circumstances of each client. Claims Specialists should have good interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a larger team.
