Crisis Intervention Specialist careers

A Crisis Intervention Specialist provides immediate support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies. You might work in hospitals, outreach centres, or for crisis hotlines, focusing on stabilising people in distress and implementing safety plans. You’ll facilitate urgent interventions to de-escalate volatile situations and connect vulnerable individuals with essential mental health resources for their recovery.

In this critical role, you must be exceptionally calm and empathetic, making decisive judgements under intense pressure. You’ll liaise with emergency services and clinical teams to ensure clients remain safe and receive the comprehensive follow-up care they require.
