A Settlements Officer coordinates financial processing in a sale of property. You might ensure documents and paperwork are complete and make sure relevant parties have been paid. Settlements Officers may liaise with buyers and sellers and ensure all aspects of sale are finalised. You might work for a bank, financial institution or brokerage company.

Settlements Officers should have good customer service skills and be able to follow correct procedures. It’s important you can communicate well with people from a range of backgrounds and work well in a team environment. Settlements Officers should be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail.
